Cheryl-Lynn Roberts is originally from a small town bordering the Eastern Townships of Quebec. She has 2 adult children who were raised and educated in Chambly and St-Hubert.
Cheryl-Lynn’s training is based on Experiential Learning …Learning by doing. She has a degree in Applied Social & Human Science from Concordia University, Montreal, a Certificate in Gerontology & she is a Certified Family Life Educator. She has been certified as a trainer for parents in Kids Have Stress Too, holds a certificate in Narrative Therapy and Critical Incident Stress Management from the Mitchener Inst., Toronto.
Cheryl-Lynn has worked with the elderly through the CLSC du Richelieu;
As a Family Life Educator, she taught personal and social development (life skills) to teens at Miss Edgars & Miss Cramps School in Westmount for 5 years.
She has been actively involved for 20+ years in her community volunteering in various capacities (postnatal care & counselling, home care, school committees, distress lines and a member on various boards in the non-profit sector) in Chambly.
She volunteered 7 years as Professional Advisor at Bereaved Families of Ontario working with children in bereavement and co-ordinator of volunteer retention at Telecare Distress Lines in Toronto.
For the past 15 years she has been a bilingual Counsellor at Kids Help Phone, a Canadian national youth line, wherein she also worked on the Parent Help Line for 3 years in Toronto and as of 2 years, is working in the Montreal satellite counselling center of Kids Help Phone.
She currently resides on the South Shore of Montréal in Brossard, Qc.
